FULL PERSONALITY: In another world, perhaps Adelisa would be..softer, not to say that she is not kind, but there is (in her eyes) no place for soft in this world. Adelisa will tend to rub some people the wrong way, she is not meek, and unafraid of standing up for herself or what she believes in. She boasts a strong work ethic, be it between pages of a book or parchments full of notes..or wielding swords and daggers with the best of them. When Adelisa gives, she gives her all, and there's no short stepping it. She is hardworking as they come, pouring herself into just about everything. There was a time when life seemed simple, though..it didn't stay that way for very long, and Adelisa couldn't quite remember a time when life was simple at all. Born just three Turns before the worst Threadfall event the world had seen, Adelisa is no stranger to the bleak and unknown. Born to two wherhandlers just before the big event, life was perfect, and it was simple even if it was just for a small time. Adelisa was their only child, up until the Threadfall pushed her small family south, moving across territories was difficult with a toddler in tow, but they carried on in hopes life would once again become carefree, and some sense of normalcy returned. No strangers to travel or living in different places, Khanyisa was an active trader, part of Benden's Hunting Squad and well known as part of the fur trade, nearly a Master Tanner by the time the end of the world as they knew it came.

The move to Final Weyr was daunting, and even with a new home and some sense of safety in numbers around them..the small family of three was still unsure the outcome of things would be good. The handler couple would grow comfortable in their new home, and just a Turn after their arrival when Adelisa was 4 Turns, they would gift her a sibling. This was good news for Adelisa, as Final Weyr was not booming with a population of children, but as the duo grew, Demilade would become a key component in the creche just as Kynade passed her first Turnday.

As the Weyr grew, it felt like the girls grew with it, stronger by the day and ready to face the terrors of the new world around them. Final Weyr became the only home Adelisa had known or remembered, and Kynade had known nothing else, making her transition into the world all the more smooth. Khanyisa had become part of the Weyr's surveying squad, trying to offer as much protection to his small family as possible, and the growing Adelisa dreamed of a day when she could work those same routes, protecting what had become her home.

Candidacy approached swiftly, and while the young lass admired the soaring beasts of the skies, her bonds with the two whers she'd grown up around were strong, and she could only see herself as a wher candidate. Adelisa spent a few turns waiting for clutches to be laid, wher spots to become available, and finally..one to choose her. She gave two hatchings a go, leaving both empty handed and frustrated, heighting her insecurities and making her believe this might not have been the right path for her all along.

But a voice, so soft and sweet, so understanding..You. Always you. Adelisa. Mine. Yours. Adelisk, just yours. In that moment her heart could've exploded, the love and adoration in the rainbows looking up at her. Perfectly pastel hide with whirls of color you'd only really notice if you looked hard enough. A pearl. Hers.

Adelisk was everything Adelisa had needed and so much more, she was a push in the right direction, causing the girl to pour herself into her training and studies. To be the best that she could be, in an attempt to show everyone that a 17 turn old deserved to be bonded to a pearl. She was almost envious of others without the stigma of a queen labled bond, they'd surely have it easier and the whispers would be less. But Adelisa spent the next several Turns securing her bond, and rising quickly to the tops of her classes, proving any naysayer wrong in the meantime.

In the Turns to come, Adelisa and Adelisk would be named Junior Wherqueens, and the young lass could not be more proud of her accomplishments. Her work ethic never faltering even after the 'promotion', she continues to strive to be the best she can be. The dangers of thread still loom heavily over them, and Adelisa will be ready to make her mark.

Stubborn, or perhaps just very set in her ways, when Adelisk's mind is set on something there's no force in the universe that will change her mind. Some would call it pride, some others would probably say she's just conceited, but Adelisk knows she is both stunning and smart, two things that should be wildly praised in a wher..or dragonkin in general. But Adelisk also isn't a fan of being told what or how to do something, boasting her intelligence as a means to get those who think less of her to get out of her way. She doesn't believe she needs to be told what or how something is done, period. Hard-headed, stubborn, or just purely iron willed, Adelisk is set in her ways and absolutely refuses to yield. You may think some sort of give may be needed, but the pearl wher thinks otherwise. Absolutely not, thank you.

Coming across as uncaring, too dismissive, and perhaps a good bit selfish, Adelisk really doesn't care much for how others think, especially about her and hers. If something the pearl says or does hurts your feelings..perhaps it is you that isn't strong enough, not Adelisk that is too much. Her tone can come off as rough around the edges, a little bit too sharp and known to be blunt, you just have to know how to take her..and definitely don't let her know your feelings were hurt by her.

In all, Adelisk is just too abrasive for some people and she will always be understanding of that. Her personality hasn't won her many friends over the Turns, but the ones she keeps know to take her with a grain of salt. After all, she just is, and there's no way of changing her. She is as loyal as they come, fiercely intelligent and pushing to prove that to the world.


Adelisk is not the biggest pearl wher the worlds have ever seen, she's realistically middling in height and length, if not a little on the smaller side. What she lacks in size, of course she makes up for in personality. Duh. The pearl is not lacking bulk, though it hides well on her frame, strong muscles holding a lethal frame together, beautifully poised and incredibly agile, you can't miss her in a crowd but you won't hear her coming. She walks with purpose, head always high and if she could look down on others..she probably would.

Her iridescent hide is light, the colors barely peeking out as an array of blues, purples and oranges dance across her hide. All blended beautifully together to create a pearlescent tone. In some light, she almost appears completely devoid of color, but one turn and the rainbows of her hide really show off. The most noticeable thing about her hide, are the many spots and flecks that freckle her backside, from the very top of her head all the way down her spine..and to the tips of her tailforks, Adelisk is spotted, the only markings on her otherwise smooth hide.
