Little Treasure [Haurchy]

It seemed someone was had Haur'fan in mind on Lover's Day! There, resting on a table within his weyr, was a small bowl of hot sand and a firelizard's egg resting inside. Close to it was a note that read simply: "Thinking of you." How thoughtful!

Haur'fan raised a brow when he walked into his weyr and seen the egg in the bowl of sand. The note made him smile but at the same time... who could this admirer be? Who out there thought him worth their time to leave a token of affection? Pushing those thoughts to the side for now, he sat down in front of the sand and ran his fingers over the egg. It was pretty... what kind of flit would it hold?

Under his touch, the egg seemed to rock a little, before it began to rattle and quake. It was hatching! Before his eyes, it split to reveal a gorgeous little creature.


It was a garnet!

Quite daintily, she rose from the remains of her egg and yawned, blinking up at him expectantly, cocking her head to inspect Haur'fan a little closer before shrilling her hunger.
